Why Knowledge of APA Writing is Important
College and university writing is unlike high school writing and it is necessary for you to know the exact styles of APA research paper writing. There are several citation styles which can be used to write research papers and essays, but the more common ones are APA and MLA.
When writing a research paper, it is advisable that you use APA citation style. An APA research paper should be based on the APA template (latest edition).
- An APA research paper ideally begins with a title page which has a running head and the title of the paper.

- The next section of the APA research paper is the main body paragraphs which argue the validity of the thesis using supporting claims and arguments.
