The vast majority of people understands that essays develop (or have developed) their writing, analytical and even thinking skills. But not all of them understand that essay writing for children should start from the early age.
When it is time to write essays for children?
If you think essay writing for children should start in the secondary school you are wrong. Children learn thinking and try to express their thoughts using words from the first months of their lives. First, make sure that essay writing for your child is a funny game. For instance, writing a letter to Santa can be an essay writing for your child. You can say that this year your child should write a special persuasive letter to Santa, since sometimes he/she was not that good, and Santa can change his mind and omit your house. This will become the first persuasive essay writing for your child.
At first, discuss the future letter with your child. Explain that there will be 5 paragraphs in the letter (they may consist of 5 sentences only). The first paragraph is asking Santa to give definite present and noting that the child was good in spite of some bad things he did (broke a vase, moaned too much or was naughty). Then the child should note three positive things which diminish his bad behavior consequences. Finally, the fifths paragraph is for stating that the child deserves the present because he/she did this and that.
