GMAT Essay Writing: The Strategy
Each of the GMAT essay writing section parts requires an individual strategy to tackle it:
- Analysis of an Argument requires a thoughtful insight into the argument from the point of view of its weak points. Select several of them and develop each into a paragraph trying to be as specific and detailed as possible.
- Analysis of an Issue requires a well-grounded and exemplified defence of a certain position, preferably with recognition of the issue complexity and the objective perspective on the controversial position. Take care you do not turn this essay in a call to action, since this is not greeted by the graders.
