Structure of Marketing Term Paper
A marketing term paper is basically a term paper about marketing. Marketing is a process that firms hold dearly because it determines whether or not they will achieve their foremost objective: that of making profits.
Although marketing is often interchanged with market research, the two terms differ significantly in that marketing focuses on the advertisement and promotion of products and services while a market research entails all the information that pertains to a particular market. What should a marketing term paper look like?
A marketing term paper, like all other term papers, should have three parts:
Introduction
- In this section, the student introduces the topic that will be covered in the marketing term paper. There are a lot of topics that students can choose from. The topics can come from the lessons they have learned so far during their marketing lectures.
- The introduction section also informs readers about the direction the marketing term paper will take.
- Most importantly, the introduction section informs the readers of the position of the writer about the topic in question. This is normally achieved through the thesis statement.
Body
- This is the core of the marketing term paper.
- The body adds flesh to the thesis statement by making arguments about the topic and supporting the arguments with facts, opinions and examples or illustrations.
- It is also important for the writer to make arguments that counter his/her thesis statement especially arguments that have been made by other scholars. This enables the student to produce an un-biased term paper.
Conclusion
- This is the last section of the marketing term paper.
- It sums up the points that have been made in the body.
- It also re-states the thesis of the writer.
Writing a marketing term paper is not any different from writing other term papers. The term paper follows the same introduction-body-conclusion structure.
