The COVID-19 pandemic has had a negative effect on global trade, including e-commerce and logistics. This is mainly due to the fact that many countries have imposed travel restrictions, effectively closing their borders (Przybylowski et al., 2021). Other factors, such as a lack of workers, fear of the virus, and disruptions to supply chains, are also contributing to the decline in trade. This has had a significant impact on e-logistics companies, which are seeing a decrease in orders as consumers stay home and shop online less, thus not traveling. In the short run, e-logistics has allowed for a much more streamlined and efficient process for tracking inventory and shipping goods (Erceg & Damoska-Sekulowska, 2019). This has led to significant reductions in shipping times and costs. In the long run, e-logistics led to a decline in transport activities sales since many people prefer purchasing online to eliminate travel costs.
