Change Management Tool to Align with a New Strategy

The modern market is shifting at such a pace that it makes many companies reevaluate their goals and strategies to survive the competition. Naturally, it is critical to help employees shift to the new environment as they play an integral role in any business’s success. Likewise, a training department should recognize the need for a change to make the shift even less complicated for the workers. Overall, to succeed in altering strategy, it is vital to consider whether the staff’s skills can help achieve new goals and, most importantly, legal considerations of the transitioning process.

To begin with, the legal department of any company is responsible for running the business according to the strategy and law. Naturally, the nature of the organization’s development defines what legal implications should be considered. However, the following federal laws might apply to the corporate change initiatives: Age Discrimination in Employment Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (U.S. Department of Labor, 2022). In fact, many more lawful regulations have to be taken into account, and so this matter should be investigated to secure a legally successful strategy advancement (U.S. Department of Labor, 2022). The organizational direction in which the institution aims clearly identifies the legal issues that may occur, and it is the legal department’s responsibility to consider federal laws to ensure a smooth transition into a new strategy.

What is more, if employees and the training department prove to be resistant to new rules in the company, the leadership should focus on assessing the resistance and eliminating it. To be more exact, the managers should be fully present in the working environment to control the job performance of every worker to understand their opinion on the transition (Cameron & Green, 2019). As a result, the leadership will see how the new change management correlates with the employees’ readiness to revise a strategy and align their work responsibilities with the business goals (Bligh, Kohles & Yan, 2018). All in all, the effectiveness of change management can only be assessed in comparison with how leadership’s efforts to make a transition easier impact the initial resistance of the workers.

To sum up, effective change management is an integral part of a successful transition to a new strategy in the company. The effort that leadership puts into preparing the training department to assist employees in adjusting their responsibilities and expectations to the changes is critical. Moreover, adequately organized management can quickly eliminate any resistance in the working environment and ensure long-term success for the business.
