The survey was conducted among 50 individuals. The research focused on the respondents’ age in relation to whether they performed bank reconciliation. The research focused on the respondents’ gender in relation to whether they performed bank reconciliation. The research focused on the respondents’ work. The survey proves that accounting information can be more reliable and understandable if a survey was conducted.
The table 1 shows that there are 33 males. Likewise, the table shows that there are 17 females. The total population is 50. In terms of rank, the male group rank is first and the female group rank is second. Analysis shows that there are more male respondents compared to the female respondents.
The table 2 shows that there are 35 respondents who did their bank reconciliation.
There are 15 respondents who do not perform their bank reconciliations. In terms of rank, the rank of those who do their bank reconciliation is first. The rank of group that does not do its bank reconciliation is second. In terms of analysis, there are more respondents who performed their bank reconciliations. The table 3 shows that 11 correspondents belonged to the 18 yrs and below age group. There are 2 correspondents belonged to the 18-25 yrs age group. There are 12 correspondents belonged to the 26-35 yrs age group. There are 19 correspondents belonged to the 36-45 yrs age group. Lastly, there are 6 correspondents belonged to the over 45 yrs age group. In terms of rank, the 36- 45 age group rank is 1st.
The 26-35 age group rank is 2nd. The below 18 yrs age group rank is 3rd. The over 50 age group rank is 4th. The 18-25 age group rank is 5th. One reason for the above survey result is that some of the 18-25 age group respondents pay others to do their bank reconciliation computation because of their busy school and work schedules. In terms of rank, the group that includes members who performed their bank reconciliation is ranked first when compared to the group not doing their bank reconciliation. Analysis shows that there are more respondents from the 36-45 age group compared to the other respondent groups.
The table 4 shows that 23 accounting workers do their bank reconciliation. Only 12 non-accounting workers do their own bank reconciliation. On the other hand, 5 accounting workers do not do their own bank reconciliation. Only 10 non-accounting workers refuse to perform their own bank reconciliation responsibilities. Analysis shows that there are more accounting workers doing their bank reconciliation, compared to the members of the other respondent groups.
The table 5 shows that 25 males do their bank reconciliation. Only 10 females perform their own bank reconciliation. Analysis shows that there are more male respondents doing their bank reconciliation compared to the female respondents.
The table 6 shows 2 respondents from the below 18 year old group did their own bank reconciliation. The above table shows 2 respondents from the 18-25 year old group did their own bank reconciliation. The above table shows 10 respondents from the 26-35 year old group did their own bank reconciliation. The above table shows 16 respondents from the 36-45 year old group performed their own bank reconciliation. The above table shows 5 respondents from the over 45 year old group accomplished their own bank reconciliation. Analysis shows that there are more respondents belonging to the 25-35 year old group who performed their bank reconciliation responsibilities compared to the members of the other respondent groups.
Based on the above discussion, the survey had been conducted among 50 individuals. There is a variance in the bank reconciliation in terms of age, work, and gender. Indeed, the survey proves that accounting information can be more accurate and comprehensible if a survey was conducted.
