These companies were not only selected because of their good reputation in promoting career growth but also their importance to the economy. Their growth will help in diversifying the country’s economy. It is necessary to discuss why each of these companies were selected.
Abu Dhabi National Oil Company
ADNOC is one of the companies in the UAE that employ a high number of workers in different departments. As one of the leading exporters of oil and gas in the global market, the firm is always under pressure to ensure that its operations are efficient. The firm has over 55,000 employees (Oxford Business Group 23). One of the reasons why this firm was selected for review is that its workforce is highly diversified. The government of Abu Dhabi is expanding local ports to improve movement of good, especially oil and gas products. The expansion means that numerous job opportunities are created every year. Economists are needed in this firm to ensure that they help in strategic planning. Some of the expansion programs must only be initiated after conductive feasibility tests to ensure that they will give reasonable returns within a specific period. Dubai Holding is currently considered the best employer based on the skills and experience of the researcher. The firm is expanding rapidly as the United Arab Emirates’ real estate market continue to grow. In this position, one can help the management in making the right investment decisions. Financial risk analyst is another good job offer. Of interest to the researcher is the position of real estate manager. In this position, the researcher will be able to help clients of Dubai Holdings to make the right decisions when planning to purchase housing units in the city or any other part of the country. Abu Dhabi Port, just like the first two firms analyzed, offer different job opportunities. As an economist with experience in the real estate sector, the researcher will be interested in specific job opportunities in this firm. Diplomatic service officer is one such opportunity. Handling of cargo meant for international market can sometimes be challenging (Baugh and Sullivan 23). Abu Dhabi Port needs diplomatic service officers to help in addressing challenges that may arise when handling such cargo. The knowledge of the researcher also makes it possible to as a data analyst. There is also the opportunity of working as a quantity surveyor at this firm. The size of the firm and the rate at which sea transport is developing in the United Arab Emirates means that there is opportunity for growth when one takes any of these offers.
