Their confidence level is very high and they are courageous as they are never nervous in taking any risks.

One could find a different view that Leaders don’t have exceptional powers. They are one among us who are just able to envision a process through which all can contribute towards an objective

Do all the great organizations depend upon great leadership?

Yes, all organizations do depend upon great leadership. Unless all individuals come together and tread on a common path, there’s no way an organization can reach great heights. All this is done by good leadership. I feel that a great organization flourish due to great leadership. It is fully dependent on a great leader to lead its organization up to that level where it can achieve all its targets to go to the top level.

What are the variables that can affect the effectiveness of any leadership?

There are a few variables that affect the effectiveness of any leadership: the characteristics of a leader; characteristics of a follower and the nature of the environment that involves the leader and followers. A leader’s effectiveness depends upon his ability to relate himself with all these variables. To maintain effectiveness a leader has always to focus on such variables.

A leader should be able to deal with all the changes coming from the relationship between all three variables. He should be flexible in his attitude to deal with others. I would like to list a few as follows; to list a few, the variables can be:

  2. Imagination
  3. Humility
  4. Ability to be one among the group.
  5. Ability to set examples
  6. Ability to motivate
  7. Ability to make the best use of available resources at hand

The manager acts as an interface between the upper hierarchy and the lower hierarchy. Thus, it enables a tree structure for any organization. A manager also serves as a leader in the module he is designated with. A manager is a person who manages the operations of an organization and in doing so he applies all his skills. He not manages the organization but also manages people around him so they support him in all the functions related to the organization. By playing the role of a leader and applying all his traits of leadership he accomplishes all the tasks and goals set for the organization.

As said above, the responsibility and role of a manager are to achieve goals set for the organization. He is responsible for the growth of his organization and its staff. : A manager is one such part of an organization, which plays an important role in breaking an organization into different small modules. Now, the manager has to manage that module effectively so that module is effective and efficient enough to achieve the objective set for the organization which subsequently contributes to the success of an organization. Apart from this, the manager also has to see that the member of the module also grows along with the organization. So, a manager has to play a dual role.

Why should a manager care about the motivation of his staff?

A manager should care about the motivation of his staff because a motivated staff always provides the best output. They should always care about the motivation of their staff as it helps in the growth of any organization. It maintains the atmosphere of the organization healthy and progressive. Motivation always encourages the staff to do good and they feel themselves part of the organization as a family. Such kind of deed always improves the productivity of an organization.

How can management actively be evaluated?

The management can be evaluated in one possible way and that is whether individuals can grow with time. Growth has to be assessed by an increase in the skills, knowledge, and welfare of the individual. If the answer to this is affirmative, then management is doing well.

If the production quality of an organization is superb it will help in the growth of the organization and when an organization grows, everyone grows.

A manager should always use appreciating words and encourage his staff when they perform well. It gives them a morale boost and they are encouraged to perform better in the future. I would list some points as follows:

  1. Monetary
  2. Increasing the responsibility
  3. A pat on the back
  4. Recognizing the good performance among other staff as well

A manager should never discourage any of his staff when he is not able to give a good performance as it may lessen his confidence to do something good. Rather they should be encouraged to do good by treating affectionately. A manager should try to comprehend the situation in which his staff has done any mistake and he should inspire his staff so he can perform in a good way.to list it as follows:

  1. Don’t put the performance down.
  2. Remind me of what all the staff has achieved earlier.

The causes of conflicts can be:

The role of a manager has to resolve the conflicts. Else, the organization will not be producing the output expected. He should be in the apposition of resolving issues amicably.

What could be the strategies to resolve a conflict?

The manager has to make the staff realize his/her importance in achieving a particular objective. Only effective communication between the manager and the staff and also among the individuals can help to identify the cause of conflict and help resolve it.

What is the importance of communication?

Effective communication helps in the identification of the cause of conflict which in turn helps in resolving it. Also, it helps in developing a sense of togetherness and belonging with the organization. Communication in our life is very important as it helps us to understand the views of others and in an organization, communication among all the employees play an important role in its progress. In the lack of proper communication, an organization may fail to achieve its goal. Proper communication is the key to the success of any organization.

What are the use of Verbal communication and non-verbal behaviors?

Verbal communication adds a personal touch to the communication pattern in the organization. Non-verbal just helps inflow of information.

What could be the barriers to effective communication?

The barriers to effective communication can be being averse to the idea of communication. Again, the ego can also be one of the reasons. If the staff doesn’t identify him/her with the organization and objective of the organization, this will lead to problems ineffective communication. Effective communication can face some obstacles like physical barriers; emotional barriers; cultural barriers; language barriers; gender barriers etc. different territories, personalities, and different looks affect communication. Emotional barriers also affect communication that includes mistrust, fear, and suspicion for the coworker.

Cultural barriers also put influence communication where people have to adjust according to the behavior of the group that they join. One more important aspect that may affect the communication is language barrier where a person is unable to understand the other person’s language due to territory differences. The gender barrier is an equally important feature that affects communication. Sometimes we may find difficulty in two different genders’ communication which could be due to their ego or some shyness.

How would you explain formal and informal communication systems within and between organizations and the techniques to improve them?

I would explain formal and informal communication systems within organizations as follows:

  1. regular review system
  2. regular recreation activities within the team.

To summarize the above interview I would say that Managers are the real performers who are the foundation of any organization and on which the organization’s success depends.
